Use the sounds and kits that live inside of my Maschine 2 software. I'm trying to figure the way yo integrate Maschine 2 with Ableton. Thanks for your detailed post even though mine wasn't as detailed as your response. Having said that this should enable you to The same thing for Ableton would probably be the Ableton Push 2 for a tight integration. What are you trying to achieve? Maybe I can help more. Having said that this should enable you to play with the Mikro and record MIDI with it in Ableton. The thing that Maschine interacts with best is. I have not used Ableton yet, but the Transport buttons on the bottom left (Play, Stop, etc) you can probably use in Ableton after using an option like "MIDI Learn" or checking Ableton's manual what MIDI CC messages it accepts for transport. The Mikro does not have turn knobs like its bigger brother, so its use as a MIDI controller is limited. The main thing you would need would be to assign pitches to the pads - that's the main use of the Maschine HW you can expect.Įxcept for the pitch you are unlikely to have to change anything much about the pads though the level of control here is huge - you can route them to different MIDI channels, for example. Your configuration persists in the hardware, IIRC, so whenever you go to MIDI mode your settings would be there again. You can load templates and you can also save your configuration, and I think you can also download what is currently stored in your HW. The next thing you can do now is start NI's controller editor. Now your Maschine Mikro Mk3 acts a MIDI controller.
