![]() The Frozen Groncicle, however, is purple. This coloration would work for camouflaging against the environment, perhaps so its prey can't see it or so other rival dragons can't see it. The Groncicle lives in a land of ice and snow, where white and light blue are the predominant colors. The Groncicle is an icy blue dragon, and normally this color would stand out. The Frozen Groncicle's coloration is to attract mates. Theory 3: The Groncicle's coloration is for camouflage. So I think the Groncicle has a blind spot right in front of its nose. ![]() Groncicles have very low-set eyes, so much though that it looks like their nose horn would obstruct their vision. Theory 2: Groncicles have a blind spot in front of their nose. I suspect the Frozen Groncicle has pretty much the same stats. So that means it has a Jaw Strength stat of 8 and a Stealth stat of 5. ![]() No venom is ever mentioned, and both the Gronckle and Hotburple also lack venom.Īs for the Jaw Strength and Stealth stats, since this dragon is so similar to the Gronckle, we can assume that its stats are similar, if not the same, to the Gronckle in this regard. We also conclude from this that it probably has a Venom stat of 0. Strong armor is said to be a characteristic of the Boulder Class, so this high Armor statistic would fit with what we know must be true about the Groncicle. However, they probably have the same astounding armor stat, a stat of 20, the Armor statistic originally seen in all Boulder Class dragons in the first movie and the same Armor statistic as both the Gronckle and Hotburple. Given this, they probably don't have a very high Stealth stat, much like their cousins. Groncicles are a Gronckle relative and a Boulder Class dragon. And I think we can predict the other statistics. The only statistics we have for the Groncicle is the Shot Limit, which is 10. Theory 1: Possible Groncicle statistics: Groncicles have a low Stealth statistic, an Armor statistic of 20, a Venom statistic of 0, an Attack statistic of 12, a Speed statistic of 12, a Firepower statistic of 12, a Jaw Strength statistic of 8, and a Stealth statistic of 5. (The Groncicle statues in School of Dragons also differ a bit from either model of the live dragons they're kind of a blend of both.) As always, I'm siding with the first version of the dragon, so I'll be making theories for the Rise of Berk version.which basically means it looks a little less like a Gronckle than the SoD version, what with being narrower, having a longer tail, having an actual neck, and lacking teeth and wing claws.Īlso, these theories apply to the Frozen Groncicle subspecies as well as the common Groncicle. Now the Groncicle is yet another dragon with more than one version of its model, one seen in Dragons: Rise of Berk and two seen in School of Dragons. I'm really excited to share my thoughts on this one! To me, it is by far the best island for forming theories about the entire history of the Barbaric Archipelago, and I think it tells us so much about the various people in the series. But on top of being one of my favorite dragons of all time, Icestorm Island, an island where Groncicles are commonly found, is one of the locations I'm most interested in this franchise, and I've had so many theories about it ever since its release back in 2015. I mean, come on, they're like Gronckles - the world's sweetest dragons - only more tenacious and tough on enemies and slightly less lazy. The Groncicle is one of my absolute favorite dragons. As requested by FoxofManyThings, time for some Groncicle theories!
